Elliot Essman is a prolific musician, writer, public speaker, public speaking coach, publisher and all-around great guy. He does his primary shopping in Connecticut, but is at home in malls almost anywhere (in fact, many of the lyrics in Meet Me at the Mall were initially written in the South Coast Plaza Mall in Costa Mesa, California.)
A graduate of Fordham University, with degrees in Philosophy and Law, Elliot is active in his local community as well as a number of national and international organizations. He has been a member of Toastmasters International for many years. He works as a wine and food writer, public speaking trainer, and professional public speaker.
A blue ribbon graduate of Peter Kump's New York Cooking School (now called the Institute for Culinary Education) with a specialization in Pastry and Baking skills, renaissance-man Elliot likes to cook for his friends. He is a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and a Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS). Elliot earned a nomination for the James Beard Foundation Journalism Award for his wine and spirits writing. When he's not writing words or playing music professionally, he's doing it for fun. In sum, a fun creative guy with a whimsical sense of humor.
